A photo

Finally I stopped procrastinating and added a photo.

These are my three beautiful and very silly children (Miles, Rachel and Jay). The serious little man in the middle is my nephew William.

This picture makes me smile for so many reasons. Gorgeous kids, great photo, such personality, family. I have scrapped the photo a couple of times and I'll post them soon.

For Jussi competition, this is my photo. I hope you like it.

An Old Friend

Yesterday I googled an old friend's name and found her living in Japan. She was a girl I lived with in Surry Hills and she left for a year's working holiday in Japan just after I got married in 1996. We lost contact though she did suprise me with a hospital visit after the birth of my first child rachel in 1999.

I have thought of her often over the past few years but couldn't work out a way of finding her. Then yesterday in a bored moment in the sea of sick children I started googling..... And there she was.... married and happily still living in Japan. Congrats MJ.

I am so happy to be able to rekindled this friendship.

I'm Back

After a week of three kids, stomach flu and the washing machine, I feel like talking to you.

I started Scrapbooking in February 2005 as a way of playing with colour and design. And I am hooked.

For the last 4 -5 years I have been quilting which I love. But it has its drawbacks - big projects, time consuming, expensive. I needed something that I could play with.

Then paper came into my life. My aunt makes cards and loves stamps. We get together as often as we can and attend all the craft shows together. But there are only so many cards I could make.

I had belittled scrapbooking because I thought it was about sticking photos in themed pages - birthday photos on paper of a cake - and that wasn't my thing.

Then I got myself a copy of SCRAPBOOKING MEMORIES and fell in love.

I have know completed about 45 pages and get excited about every one.

Once I get through the family dose of the stomach flu, I will add some of my favourite pages.

Please tell me how you started in scrapbooking. I'd love to hear for you

See you soon.

The journey begins........

This is the beginning of a blog I have wanted to start for ages but have been scared. You know something new and all that.

I was inspired by the blog of my good friend The Stripey Tiger. (
http://thestripeytiger.blogspot.com) She shares her knitting soul with the world and is all the better for it.

I would like to connect with some like-minded scrappers and share my thoughts with the universe.

Well, I'll see you all soon.
