Last Six Weeks
The last six weeks have been hectic with school, application for uni, aerobics, creche, stolen wallet, bingled car, Jay's 5th birthday, new camera and getting ready for Easter camping.
I'm out of breath just writing it all down.
My friend, Stripey Tiger, had just put a link to this blog on her blog. She describes me as someone who knits, quilts and scraps. I thought she was lying, but she knows me better than I know myself.
Knitting - As a novice knitter, I knit scarves and wraps. I have found a nice pattern at BigW for a wrap/scarf, which I am now half way through.
Quilting - I now have photos of the quilt for Lauren and am making both a girl and boy one for my new niece/nephew due in the next 2 weeks. Mum and I have also decided on a simple squae block design quilt for Rachel in large print floral fabrics. Still have quite a few UFOs including a friendship quilt for Stripey (lucky, my
commitment to the friendship is greater than my commitment to finishing that UFO. LOL), a wedding quilt for brother Craig and Wendy (married 18months ago, and due to having pending niece/nephew) .
Scrapping - I have completed thre LOs for Mum's Birthday and and working on some for Mother's Day. I have a new camera which I am loving and have taken some fab shots of the kids.

I have scrapped this once for myself but I think every member of my family will get this photo at some point this year. It is just on of those perfect photos, capturing their spirit.
I am starting to work in rectangles (8.5 x 11) and smaller squares (6x 6). I am definitely having fun.
Once I have finished the scarf, I'll let you see it as I am sooo proud.

New Niece
I have a brand new niece.
LAUREN ELIZABETH STEVENS
born 7/2/06
3.355 kg
I drove down to Nowra and back yesterday ( about 4 hours driving) to see her . When Brad and Linda had William they were living in Deniliquin ( 10 Hours aways) and so Linda spent 6 days in hospital with precious few visitors.
So this time I was not going to let that happen again.
Lauren is quite beautiful and very noisy. I made her a pram quilt, which will match her room perfectly, unbeknowns to me.
Photos to come.

Bloody Computers
I have spent the day trying to get my new printer/scanner to work and I can't even turn it on. Lots of swearing and kicking of computer equipment has occurred.
I wouldn't be so peeved only that I was determined to have the accounts for the P&C meeting tommorrow night done and looking beautiful. Last year I wasn't organised and didn't produce them. So I have them all finished and now I can't print them out. How frustrating !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like I'll be taking them on disc.
Anyway, I am now going to play with my scrap supplies to calm my nerves. This week I went to Scrapbook HQ with my blinkers on and only bought cardstock. I buy so much patterned paper that I end up with no cardstock for my LOs. SO I am now going to play. I'll show you my work tomorrow.

Chrissy Presents
This year I gave a few Scrapped presents for Chrissy. My mum and Step mum got albums - to be added to for birthdays etc, and both my sisters in law ( brother's wives) received quote books.
These books I am most proud of. I collected quotes that were meaningful to me and decorated two 3inch books. The pink one went to together really quickly and I thought that this concept was going to be great. But the blue proved more difficult. It just didn't work - the ribbon was wrong , I didn't have enough patterns , then I had too many. Eventually I was happy and the reaction from the girls was wonderful. Of course , I was putting the blue together in the last week before Christmas, so many my mind wasn't on the job.
Anyway I'm off to watch the 20/20 cricket. See ya.

2006 - A new start
I am trying to get photos of my LO's for you all. But I haven't been happy. But that could just be me procrastinating.
I loved the paisley paper and wanted to use it just for me. I tend to scrap photos of the kids ( as there are more photos of them), but I now live creating things for ME.
Hopefully the nes\xt lo's posted will have better photos. We'll see
